Stops Rain Noise
Rain noise on a roof is caused by the impact of the drop hitting the roof surface which is stretched tight like a drum.

Reduces Heat Buildup
Heat build up in a conservatory is caused by solar radiation entering the conservatory through the clear roof and heating the air inside. As the air heats up it is trapped inside and continues to increase in temperature.
